Air fryer S’mores

There’s something about s’mores that feels instantly grounding. Maybe it’s the nostalgia. Maybe it’s the simplicity. Three ingredients, no fuss, and a reminder that not everything needs to be optimized to be good.

Long gone are the day of needing an open fire though to get a perfect toasty marshmallow; the air fryer now a day makes s’mores feel almost too easy. Yes, you heard me right! No fire pit. No skewers. No waiting for embers to be just right. You get that gooey marshmallow, melted chocolate moment in under five minutes, which honestly feels like a small modern miracle. Go team go.

This is the kind of dessert you make on a random weeknight. Or when you want something sweet but don’t want to commit to baking. Or when you need a treat that feels familiar and comforting without being complicated. Or…. do we even need a reason? Some days I genuinely just make one just because I want one and feel no guilt or shame for it in any way.

A quick tip with this method. Air fryers run hot and fast. Keep an eye on the marshmallows because they can go from golden to, well, dramatic very quickly. I like pulling them when they’re just puffed and lightly toasted, then letting the heat finish the melt once the graham cracker goes on top.

Serve them immediately. S’mores are not a dessert that waits patiently, and honestly, neither should you!

If you want to get creative, this is a great base. Swap in dark chocolate, add peanut butter, or use cinnamon graham crackers. But even as-is, this version delivers exactly what a s’more should.

Warm. Gooey. No notes. Enjoy!

Cats out do the bag with the countertop 😂! My actual* counter is quite reflective and pretty early into starting content creation I realized that every single light that got pointed towards it was very very visible. To help, I literally purchased a full on table top and slapped it in over my actual counter 😂. Is this a long term solution? No- but it is working in the meantime. Also… airfryer s’mores, let’s talk about it. The fact that you can make a single delicious s’more for yourself at any point is honestly one of the few reasons being an adult is worth it. Use your free will to make one, and if you are plant based or wanting to skip out on the gelatin part of marshmallows, I recommend Dandies or Good Mallow brand! 😇 They have the best texture and taste in my personal opinion of the vegan marshmallows. Summer decor is leaving soon so enjoy this while it lasts- the fall transition is already creeping into my brain and heart and I’m so excited about it. 🥰🥰 #veganmarshmallows #smores #kitchentour #vegetarian #sweettreat

Notes

Air fryer models vary, so check after 2½ minutes to avoid over-browning.
For less mess, you can air fry just the marshmallow and chocolate, then assemble with graham crackers afterward.
Dark chocolate balances the sweetness nicely, but classic milk chocolate works beautifully.
